Orphan Support

For I rescued the poor who cried out, and the fatherless who had no helper. The blessing of the lost came upon me, and I made the heart of the widow to sing for joy.
Job 29:12-13

The Center of Hope in the Tajik city of Isfara is located in the triangle of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Many children find refuge here and experience Christian charity.

Through the ministry of the center, God works much fruit in the hearts of the children. The Lord Jesus shows His love and care to all those who live there or attend the center's services. At this point we would like to give a brief insight into the work of the center: Responsible people also need support.

Salina lives in the Center of Hope with her two brothers, Bogdan and Damir. At twelve years old, she has a kind, helpful character. She enjoys being around people and helping in the kitchen. She especially likes baking pancakes.

She is not only thinking about herself, but also about her brothers. If they are not at the table for lunch or dinner, she conscientiously saves food for them or asks Natascha, who is responsible for these children, to do so. Salina just doesn't like learning because she finds reading and arithmetic difficult. She often cries before she starts her homework. But we don't lose heart and continue to support her in her learning.

A Place of Acceptance and Security

In addition to the children who live permanently at the center, new children arrive almost every day. Here they have the opportunity to do their homework, eat lunch and socialize with others. The center has a craft group that children and teenagers like to attend. Here they learn to make different things out of beads or paper, and to paint and color them. During these activities, they listen to Bible stories. This is how the gospel can be brought closer to them and in between there are also fellowships on various topics.

A Seed for Eternity

On Sundays, the center has a Sunday school attended by an average of 15 children. They eagerly await Sunday. They hear the gospel, take part in crafts, games, and competitions. God leads not only children but also adults to the center. They turn to the Christians with various questions. The attention given to their needs makes them open to hearing the word of God. Many people heard the gospel for the first time in the Center of Hope. Some of them were converted there and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Natascha recently started working there. She is very good-natured and quickly connects with the children, who have grown fond of her and quickly built a relationship with her. Another center of hope is currently being built in the city of Shurab with the support of the Bible Mission. We are very grateful to God for these two centers of hope and want to continue to support them wherever possible.
