Building Projects

When a missile flattened pastor Nikolai's home, he had nowhere else to go, so he moved into their church with his wife and children and tried to make a life for his family there. For over a year, they called the church building home before reaching out and asking Faith Mission (FriedensBote) for assistance with purchasing another house for them to live in.

We've seen a number of cases like this in the past two years, where the pastors have lost their homes, but they want to stay and serve their church, so they send requests like the one described above. In some high danger areas, it doesn't make sense to buy a house or to continue to live in their homes, we have helped some pastors relocate to another area of Ukraine.

Other building projects Faith Mission has completed are church renovations in 2024, and assisting a group in Moldova to purchase an old house to be used as a church building.

Pavel Nikolayenko and his church have been recipients of aid from Faith Mission for many years, as many of the congregants have adopted large families of children. As these children are getting older and wanting to get started with their own homes and families, Pavel has seen another need and has asked for our help.

It is possible in their village and several surrounding villages to purchase houses like the ones pictured on this page, for $1,300 — $3,000, depending on the condition. He has already purchased and repaired a few homes. It costs about $5,000 to make these homes move-in ready.

This is a small cost to set up a couple in a house for them to spend their first few years in and gives them such a head-start to their married life. He would like to purchase a number of these homes and continue to prepare them for of the children to move into. Please consider helping us continue to make these projects possible.
